Blackboard system engineers will be performing infrastructure maintenance at the data center where BCC's Blackboard system is hosted. This maintenance is scheduled to be done during RCBC's normal downtime window on Friday, July 31st, 2015 between the hours of 02:00 am and 06:00 am EDT. Although the system might be "up" occasionally during the indicated time, we do expect Blackboard to be offline from time to time during these hours. Therefore we strongly advise you to schedule your class activities accordingly.
We also advise you to keep backups of any work you plan to submit. For instance, pre-type discussion or blog posts in Notepad and then copy-and-paste them into Blackboard so that you have a local copy and we do not recommend starting any tests or quizzes during the hours directly before or after the scheduled maintenance window.
Thanks for your patience as this important system work is being done.
The Community College Completion Corps is an effort to increase student success by informing everyone about the benefits of completing a credential/degree and the consequences of not completing.
While 79 percent of entering college students plan to earn an associate degree, just 45 percent meet that goal within six years. How about you? Will you pledge to complete?
Hundreds of thousands of community college students have pledged to Commit to Complete – accepting responsibility for completing their credential/degree and promising to help at least one other student complete.
You don't have to come to campus to "join the Corps!" You can Commit to Complete online. Students, faculty, staff and administrators can also pledge to assist with completion. The Completion Pledge for both students and employees can be found at http://www.cccompletioncorps.org/pledge
